Family counselling
As families goes through different stages in their development cycle they face challenges and the great power of love, joy and support that the family unit can provide to its members is lost. I can help restore the trust, bridge the communication link, understand the unique way each family unit functions, help with conflict resolutions and assist in coping with stresses by applying the various family therapy techniques. By observing the unique needs of every member the counselor can help the family members become more aware of the resources and make them more flexible in navigating their challenges both individually and as a unit. The family therapy offers family members to replace negative patterns such as blame, resentment and control with and opportunity of positive open dialogue. Role of parenting can be stressful. With the help of a counselor, Parenting can be made more joyful by learning and applying better problem solving strategies; communication skills and help parents become more confident of their parenting skills.

Couples counselling
Sometimes when our children are struggling, the road ahead can seem confusing and intimidating as a parent. We often feel seeking assistance or asking for help is an indication of parental failure. It is not. In fact, it is an indication of good parenting, much like bringing your child to a doctor when they are physically ill. Major milestones and changes mark the journey from childhood to adulthood in maturity and identity. Today’s child is faced with challenges that arise from unprecedented access to technology, connecting them to their peer group constantly. Children are bombarded with media images of how they should look, dress, and act. Identity and coping mechanisms (healthy or not) begin to take shape. These changing realities and challenges may cause anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and uncertainty. It is important for children and teens to be given positive affirmation and support as they develop; allowing them to maintain a healthy sense of who they are and where they fit in the world as they work toward establishing healthy self-esteem and confidence.

Children and youth counselling
Relationship between husband and wife is a source of joy, love, comfort and peace. This can be easily disturbed by life stresses like job loss, communication breakdown, finances, work stress, infidelity. When relationship conflict occurs, sometimes it is important to realize that there are options. When the couples have the right skills to communicate and connect emotionally, they become source and strength and support to each other to manage the life stresses together. Through prepare & Enrich program, the clients are assessed through couple assessment, completed online that identifies the couples strength and growth areas. It is one of the most widely used programs for premarital counselling and premarital education. It is also used for married couples for marriage enrichment, and dating couples considering engagement. Based on a couple's assessment results, I provide feedback in 3-4 sessions in which the couple understand their results and they are taught proven relationship skills. Worksheets and exercises are given to help the couple work on their growth areas.
